My question: What function does the word "small" serve in that sentence?
Finally we're making an effort to catch up with the Chinese government. I think that I read about a similar effort by them in a Vonnegut book called "Slapstick"... at this point I have to cut myself short and offer an apology. You see, somehow my mind makes a connection between Troutfishing in America and Kilgore Trout, a Vonnegut character. I'm not sure why I can't let go of the conection. Maybe I'll have to go read some Brautigan.
